​Roger Martin
Chairman & CEO
After a 25-year tech career, Roger retired as the Senior Vice President, Chief IP Strategist at Qualcomm, Inc, where he led a department of 275 attorneys, engineers, and business people focused on all aspects of intellectual property. Roger holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from UCSD, a Juris Doctor (magna cum laude) from USD, and a certificate in strategic management from Stanford.  Roger is a former Naval Officer who served honorably during the first Gulf War.

Drew Shirley
​Artist Relations
Drew Shirley is the guitarist for the Grammy-winning band, Switchfoot.  A 20-year veteran of the music industry, his reputation for using his platform to bring social change is well-respected.  His passion for combating human trafficking began when, on overseas tours, he was exposed to the tragedies of the forced sex trade in southeast Asia.  Drew also has teen and pre-teen daughters, keeping him focused on changing culture for their good.  Drew's authentic passion and deep connections make him ideally suited to be an advocate and artist relationship developer.

Samir Raiyani
Platform R&D
Samir Raiyani is the co-founder and CEO of Dolcera, a knowledge services company with offices in India and the US. Clients include Fortune 500 companies and large law firms in a variety of industries including high-tech, consumer packaged goods, medical devices and financial services.  Samir's ability to create innovative and robust AI and ML platforms enables Humans Against Trafficking to bring advanced technical solutions to the problem of fighting human trafficking.

Buki Domingos
Survivor Advisor
Buki Domingos is a singer, songwriter, instrumentalist, a nurse in Germany and the USA, and a tireless Social Justice Activist and Motivational Speaker.  She is the Board President of Activist San Diego, a Radio Show Host on KNSJ 89.1FM, and a founding member of the Racial Justice Coalition of San Diego. Buki has toured Europe and West Africa with celebrities like Sir Elton John and African Mega Stars like Angelique Kidjo. A survivor of human trafficking, she uses her story to motivate and raise awareness nationwide. Buki is the 2019 KPBS and NCRC winner of the Community Heroes Award.

Dr. Ami Carpenter
Research Advisor
Ami Carpenter, PhD, is an associate professor at the Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies at the University of San Diego. Carpenter holds a PhD from George Mason University. Carpenter currently advises the U.S. Institute of Peace on its programs on countering violent extremism and applied research on conflict, Interpeace, the San Diego Commission on Gang Prevention and Intervention, and the San Diego County Advisory Council on Human and Child Sex Trafficking. Her recent publications include a DOJ-funded study of gang involvement in sex trafficking in San Diego County.

Ashlie Bryant
Education Advisor
Ashlie Bryant is the Co-Founder, President and CEO of 3Strands Global Foundation. Since 2011 Ms. Bryant has been instrumental in creating and managing a human trafficking education program called PROTECT, designed to educate elementary, middle school, and high school students throughout California, Utah and Texas. Ms. Bryant is also created the Employ + Empower program which has placed more than 171 survivors and at-risk youth into sustainable jobs since 2016. She led the push for AB1227 in California which requires human trafficking prevention education in all California classrooms. Ms. Bryant sits on the California state CSEC Action Team.

Jamie Beck
Trauma-Informed Legal Advisor
Jamie Beck is the President and Managing Attorney of Free to Thrive, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that empowers survivors of human trafficking to be free from exploitation and to thrive by providing them with legal services and connections to other supportive services. Widely recognized and awarded for her tireless efforts to bring justice and healing to survivors, Jamie provides training and hands-on experiential opportunities for law students and lawyers to serve trafficked persons in a trauma-informed manner.

Sanjay Jha is the former CEO of GlobalFoundries, the former Chairman and CEO of Motorola Mobility, and the former COO of Qualcomm.  Sanjay brings strategic and operational guidance, key relationships within the tech industry, and world-class leadership input.

Brad Gibson is the business manager for Grammy-winning band, Twenty-One Pilots.  Brad brings a deep understanding of the business of music, and key relationships within the music industry.  He is pictured here making good on his joking promise that he would get a tattoo if Twenty-One Pilots ever won a Grammy.

Platform Advisor
Patrick Dodd is first and foremost an encourager whose cardinal points are beauty and justice. He is also the CEO of Blinksale, the Executive Producer of SerialBox Presents, a songwriter, and keeps his personal musings at pdodd.com.  He brings his unique combination of platform development and music industry experience.

Mick McKeown
PR Consultant
In addition to his role as Executive Director of the Homeland Security Advisory Council and Campaign Office, he was appointed Chairman and Executive Director of the Blue Campaign by DHS Secretary John F. Kelly. In this role, Mr. McKeown became a leading international voice supporting the efforts of the private and public sectors to end human trafficking. During his tenure, he advised three DHS Secretaries, Kelly, Elaine Duke, and Kirstjen Nielsen, and oversaw partnerships across the country as well as the training of hundreds of thousands of people in how to recognize the crime of human trafficking. He also worked extensively with both Congress and the executive branch to help end trafficking, created the BeCyberSmart campaign and oversaw the rebranding of the “If you See Something, Say Something” campaign.

Virginia MacSuihbne
​Board Member
​Virginia MacSuibhne (pronounced mock-swiv-na) is the Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer for Roche Molecular Solutions where she is responsible for managing and directing the organization’s data protection, ethics and compliance program and related infrastructure.  Virginia has been in a leadership role with Roche since 2008; her prior experience includes serving as an in-house attorney for a major, publicly-held software company and as a litigation associate at an international law firm.  Virginia has also served as Vice-President and President on the Board Rebuilding Together Peninsula.

Blair Cannon
​Treasurer
Mr. Cannon is a Financial Advisor with UBS Financial and provides investment planning and money management advice to high‐net‐worth individuals, families and foundations. Prior to joining UBS, Mr. Cannon was a financial advisor at Bernstein, and was a Managing Director with GE Capital where he led a team that deployed structured financial services to institutional clients in the global semiconductor industry. He earned a BA from the University of California, Irvine, and an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University. Mr. Cannon has served on several non‐profit boards including the Monarch School, and the Great Friends Foundation.

Corey McClelland
​Secretary
Corey has worked internationally in a variety of executive, operations, technology and business roles in the energy, healthcare and computer science industries. Cory worked at SAIC in diverse roles for over 23 years. Mr. McClelland managed multi-hundred million dollar programs and was the winning proposal manager on hundred million and billion dollar program proposals.  Mr. McClelland is also CEO and President of the Prevent Drowning Foundation of San Diego.

Scott Kaplan
​Board Member
Scott Kaplan is a San Diego based media entrepreneur. He is primarily known as the host and executive producer of The Scott and BR Show. Scott is also the CEO of Sided.co, an online debate platform. Scott has covered the NFL for WW1 and CBS Sports as a sideline reporter for more than 10 years. Prior to beginning his career as a broadcaster, Kaplan was a place kicker at the University of Pittsburgh. While a player at Pitt from 1988 to 1992, Kaplan was the team’s leading scorer for three seasons.
